F.A.Q

How dangerous are broken springs?

At the time of breaking, the garage door spring releases a great amount of tension. While the torsion spring pieces are held in place by the shaft, the extension ones need to have a special safety cable to prevent them from flying out. When this type of component is broken, you must not use the door at all. Even if you attempt to lift it manually, the cables may get twisted around the rollers and the problem will become even worse.

I think my garage door sensor is broken, can it be repaired?

In general, the most common cause for an automatic door to stop working is the sensor becoming misaligned. If the connection between the sensors is broken, as a safety measure, the door will stop working. Make sure the sensors are aligned properly and if the door still doesn't work, have one of our trained professionals take a look to see if it needs repair or replacement. Just give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist you whenever you have questions or need repairs.
